Apologies to state the obvious here but I think emphasis needs to be placed largely on the part you mentioned regarding funding … “because you did not apply to national treasury for budget and how do you justify underspending in your department?” If they have underspent in their department – where is the money sitting???? In their bank account perhaps earning some interest? It disgusts me and I don’t understand how people are able to sleep at night when they are screwing around like this! If you underspent, you OBVIOUSLY have money left over, right, what is the problem here then???? Do what you are supposed to do as the Dept. of Health and help the disability sector!!! We are pleading for help and have been doing so for years and you clearly have the money …

It is unacceptable that the Government cannot acknowledge World Autism Awareness Day and is even more disgusting that they do not help the Autistic community. For years we have assisted Government with their Policies through collaborative workshops relating to the Disability Sector…all to be thrown in one big black hole. I think the Politicians need to stop worrying about their back pockets and actually DO something for the Nation! The ANC is very quick to say we have such a progressive Constitution, however if it is not implemented and the basic HUMAN RIGHTS are not met, then it is not worth the paper it is written on! As for the slogan…”TOGETHER WE CAN DO MORE”, What does that mean when they have not managed to get it together over the past 14 years? And they call this DEMOCRACY? It is a joke.
